PANDEMONIUM As Security Operative Is Caught Shooting Dead Helpless Protester; SEE The State It Happened
According to a report by Daily Trust, a security operative was on Monday captured, gunning down one of the #EndBadGovernance protesters in the Northern part of the country.
The report revealed that the incident happened in Azare, Katagum Local Government Area of Bauchi State, stating that the yet- to- be- identified protester was pinned to the ground by some individuals, who tortured him before the officer ended his life.
It was reported that a video, that captured the unfortunate incident, shows how the young man was seen lying on the ground and two or three persons hitting him repeatedly. A moment later, the security officer walked up to them, hit him twice, then pointed his riffle directly at the protester and immediately pulled the trigger.
Daily Trust further reported that an independent fact- check carried out by the media house confirmed that the video was not doctored. It added that the incident happened in front of Katagum Local Government secretariat, where policemen and some protesters using Russian flag clashed.
Also, it was stated that despite the public outcry of the people at the scene, the officer who ended the protester’ s life walked away from the scene of the incident without looking back.
Meanwhile, it should be noted that this comes after the President of the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, Joe Ajaero, blasted the security operatives, particularly the operatives of the Nigerian Police over the gruesome murder of Nigerian youths during the protest.
Ajaero said instead of killing harmless protesters, the police should divert their energy towards marauding bandits wrecking havoc in the country.
He added that the worse brutality was recorded in Kaduna when ” one of the fleeing protesters was heard on camera desperately appealing to the deployed police personnel not to shoot until his voice was drowned by a hail of bullets with the resultant death of a protester on the spot and several injured. “
