Human rights lawyer Uche Onyeagucha has urged President Bola Tinubu to immediately and unconditionally release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Onyeagucha, a former federal lawmaker from Imo State, made the appeal in a statement titled “President Bola Tinubu, Free Nnamdi Kanu Unconditionally Now,” shared with SaharaReporters on Tuesday………

Onyeagucha criticized President Tinubu for allegedly using Kanu’s detention as a strategic move, likening it to a “pawn on a chess board.” He condemned the continued detention as an affront to the Igbo people and freedom advocates, accusing Tinubu of displaying a condescending attitude towards the Igbo and other Nigerians since assuming office.
