The Victory Life Bible Church (VLBC) in Abeokuta is deeply mourning the loss of Rev. Fola Achudume, wife of the church’ s General Overseer, who passed away in the early hours of Saturday, August 3, 2024. She was 55 years old and was approaching her 56th birthday on September 6.
The sad news was shared by Pastor Adeoye Adeyanju, the church’ s Assistant General Overseer, during Sunday service. The announcement has since elicited a wave of grief and reflections on Rev. Achudume’ s impactful life and ministry.

Her passing occurred on Saturday, August 3, 2024, ” the statement read.
The statement highlighted Rev. Achudume’ s multifaceted roles within the church, including her work as a teacher, prophet, pastor, mentor, role model, and mother. It emphasized her profound influence on many lives, noting, ” She touched countless lives, inspiring many to grow in their faith and walk closely with the Lord. ”
The Victory Life Bible Church family, along with her spiritual children worldwide, expressed their deep appreciation for her life of dedication to faith, prayer, and steadfastness. The statement concluded with a prayer for her peaceful rest.
In addition to the church’ s tribute, Tunde Oladunjoye, Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress in Ogun State, expressed his grief over Rev. Achudume’ s passing, calling it ” the worst news of the year. ” Oladunjoye, who shares a close bond with the Achudume family, spoke of his personal loss and the sorrow felt by the broader community. ” It is a family that I am very close to, and I am already on my way to their house to register my condolence. So hard to believe! So saddening! My consolation is that she has gone to join the saints, ” he remarked.
