FINALLY! Tinubu’s Govt REVEALS How To Get 40K Bag Of Rice; SEE What You Must Do First
The federal government has finally revealed what Nigerians must do to get the 50% discount when buying a 50 kg bag of rice, which means they will pay N40, 000 instead of N80, 000.
It could be recalled that it was recently declared that President Bola Tinubu’ s government has crashed the price of rice in its efforts to make food affordable for the masses amid the economy hardship.
According to the latest development, the federal ministry of special duties and Intergovernmental Affairs revealed that the rice will be provided to workers in the public sector through the OHCSF website. It added that there is a Google form that interested employees can fill out and submit to the HR director to enjoy the discount.
According to the letter revealed by the ministry of special duties, the Joint Union Council of the ministry’ s chairman will act as an observer throughout the exercise for transparency purposes, and that the payment and distribution of the rice will be handled by specified offices.
Meanwhile, this comes amid the report that the price of foodstuff has crashed in some major market in Lagos amid the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protest against President Tinubu’ s government.

It was gathered that both the buyers and traders confirmed the significant reduction in the price of foodstuffs, particularly the perishable goods, as Nigerians were forced to remain indoors amid the protest. Many people in Lagos and other major cities across the country locked their shops, while others suspended their daily activities, and this forced the traders to sell of their goods at a cheaper price due to low patronage.
” We have no choice but to sell off because few customers are available to buy the produce. The purchasing power is actually low at the moment, ” a trader reportedly said.
” A 50kg bag of short grain rice now sells for N73, 000 as against N83, 000 last month. While the long grain sells for N78, 000 per 50 kg bag as against N87, 000 to N88, 000. A paint bucket of honey beans now sells for N10, 000 as against N12, 000 it was sold in July, ” another trader confirmed the development.
