BREAKING! Police Attack Deji Adeyanju, VeryDarkMan During #EndBadGovt Protests- Day 2 [Video]
A video shared by Saharareporters shows the moment Damilare Adenola, Deji Adeyanju, and Martins Vincent Otse aka Verydarkman, among other unarmed #EndBadGovernance protesters, were teargassed by the FCT police at Berger Bridge on Friday morning.
The incident occurred despite a court order confining protests to the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, as announced by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike on Thursday.
Wike had claimed that an intelligence report revealed that some unidentified persons planned to destroy properties under the guise of protesting, which could lead to loss of lives. He warned that security agencies would not allow it.
However, the police failed to adhere to Wike’ s commendation not to molest protesters. Instead, they used teargas on the unarmed protesters, including journalists from The Guardian. The video shows the protesters running away from the police, with some falling to the ground, struggling to breathe due to the teargas.

Damilare Adenola, a lawyer and human rights activist, took a swipe at Wike, condemning the police’ s actions. .
