In a heartbreaking report, a young girl kidnapped by terrorists some years ago was married off to eight different Boko Haram terrorists before she was rescued from Sambisa forest in Borno State.
According to the report, the victim, Ihyi Abdul, was one of the school girls abducted by the terrorists in Chibok in April 2014. She was taken to Sambisa forest and got married to eight terrorists within ten years.
27- year- old Ehi Abdul, who is three months pregnant in addition to her two other children, was rescued on June 23, 2024. It was reported that Abdul and her children were among the 332 individuals, including 110 women and 220 children, rescued from the Bama- Pulka axis during a clearance operation in Sambisa Forest by the Joint Task Force, Operation Hadin Kai.
Speaking to the newsmen at the headquarters of Operation Hadin Kai Theater Command, at Maimalari barracks Maiduguri, she said she got to a military checkpoint after managing to escape from the forest.
” I trekked for days before getting to a military checkpoint in Nigeria, where they took me and my children in, ” she said.
” I married eight men and gave birth to three children for different husbands. I did not escape all the while because I did not want to escape earlier until now.
” We the Chibok girls are not kept in the same camp, and I don’ t know why they are still in captivity, but those of us have chosen to remain in Sambisa, while others have not had the chance to escape, ” she added.
Speaking further, she said after spending ten years with the terrorists, she could not confirm if she would later return to school and continue her education.

” As for education, I cannot say anything for now but am not sure I can continue with education, ” she said.
Meanwhile, it was gathered that Ihyi Abdul, her children, and other victims rescued from the terrorists were handed over to the Borno State government for rehabilitation.
