Medical Doctor Lures Teenage Girl To Apartment, Strips & Rapes Her After Promising Her Employment
Olayode Akangbe Shakiru, a medical doctor by trade, was arrested and detained by Osun State Police Command security personnel on suspicion of sexually assaulting and raping a teenage girl. But according to Yemisi Opalola, the Command spokesperson and Public Relations Officer (PPRO), who confirmed the suspect’ s arrest, police are currently carrying out a covert investigation.
She revealed that on Thursday, a group of police officers from the Oke- Baale Police Division in Osogbo detained the accused, Shakiru, after receiving a report from the 18-year- old girl’ s family. “On Thursday, he was arrested by the police along the road while returning to Osogbo from Ipetumodu along Ile- Ife road”, stated the PPRO.
According to Opalola, further information has been obtained that the suspected doctor has been reported to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for further action.
