WICKEDNESS ! Story Of Two Women Who Allegedly Pound Children To Make Charms For Politicians
Authorities in Anambra State have arrested two women in Onitsha who are accused of kidnapping children for use in occult rituals allegedly intended to empower politicians.
The suspects, identified as 39- year- old Miss Rejoice Raymond and 80- year- old Mrs. Chidi Nwafor, were taken into custody following a dramatic police raid at their residence.
The incident, which was captured in a widely shared video that has incited public outrage, shows law enforcement officials rescuing three children who were found confined in the women’ s apartment. This distressing event occurred amidst serious allegations that the children were being held for ritualistic purposes.
Reports indicate that the arrests took place along Awka Road in Onitsha, where the suspects are said to have operated a ministry. They are accused of using children to create mystical charms believed to enhance the success of businesspeople and politicians.
CSP Haruna Mohammed, the spokesperson for the Anambra Police, confirmed the arrests of Mrs. Chidi Felicia Nwafor and Rejoice Raymond on February 19, following credible information. The operation, carried out by officers from the 3- 3 Police Station in Nkwelle Ezunaka, resulted in the rescue of three minors found in alarming conditions.
DPO CSP Abdu Bawa, who was on the scene, described the situation as horrifying: victims appeared severely beaten, including one child with a broken arm, left in pools of blood without any identifiable guardians present.
Initial investigations revealed a collection of disturbing items at the location, including blood- stained canes and ritualistic concoctions, further implicating the suspects in illicit activities. The rescued children were quickly taken to a medical facility for urgent care.
This alarming development has led to widespread condemnation and calls for more stringent measures against those who exploit children for criminal activities. Authorities encourage the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behavior that may threaten the welfare of minors.
