She alleged that Ganiyu not only publicly assaulted her but also engaged in destructive behavior, including accusing her of adultery and selling her belongings without her consent.
Despite working tirelessly to support her family through her business, Mrs. Taiwo claimed that her husband continued to neglect her and their children, leading to financial strain and emotional distress.
The distressing situation took a toll on Mrs. Taiwo’s health, eventually resulting in her becoming a high blood pressure patient.
She recounted how her husband’ s erratic behavior and constant accusations affected her well-being and that of their children, prompting her decision to move out of their marital home due to irreconcilable differences. Mrs. Taiwo highlighted the need for the Court to grant her custody of their three children and ensure that her husband takes responsibility for their welfare. The court proceedings revealed the extent of the abuse Mrs. Taiwo endured, with her recounting instances where her husband physically assaulted her, tore off her clothes, and left her exposed naked in public. She described how neighbors. had to intervene to cover her nakedness and prevent further harm, highlighting the disturbing nature of the abuse she experienced.
Mrs. Taiwo’ s plea for the dissolution of her marriage and the need for protection from her husband’ s violent behavior showed the urgency of her situation. In response to the allegations, Ganiyu Olayiwola denied all accusations of abuse and refused to accept his wife’s request for a divorce. The Court President, Mrs. S.
