I Killed Him Because He Was Insulting And Pushing Me For No Reason- Grandson Confesses After Killing Grandfather
A young man who was simply recognized by the name, Usakahyel Adamu, 24 years of age, is current under arrest and taken into custody by the security authorities of the Borno State Police Command for using a hoe to kill his aged grandfather.
In response to the gruesome incident mentioned above, the father of the suspect filed the report at the Kwaya Kusar police station, as confirmed by the state Commissioner of Police, CP Yusufu Lawal, who was presenting Adamu at the command on Friday.
Lawal who paraded the suspect sometime last week said that, ” on July 7, 2024, one Adamu Yakubu male of Paga Gusi Village Kwaya– Kussar Local Government Area reported at Kwaya Kusar police station that, on the same date that his son one Usakahyel Adamu 24 years used a hoe and hit his grandfather one Yakubu Ibrahim, 90 years on his head as a result he sustained serious injury and died on the spot” .
Explaining further, the police boss continued saying that, investigation further showed that the aforementioned suspect, Usakahyel had a dispute with his grandfather on a claim that his grandfather was belittling, reigning insults on him and pushing him without any reasonable cause, which prompted him to retaliate by attacking him with a hoe which led to his gruesome death after which Daso cautioned the locals of the state to continue living in peace rather than resorting to conflict and violence at any slight provocation.
“The suspect has been arrested and the hoe was recovered and registered as an exhibit. Suspect will be charged to Director of Public Prosecution for legal advice and prosecution”, he assured.
Conclusively, it was learnt that after the brutal attack by the suspect to the victim, the aged man was rushed to the nearest medical facility where a doctor pronounced him dead upon arrival after which the father of the suspect reported the case to the police leading to the immediate arrest of his son for the gory act.
