See What Happened To The Pastor Who Ran A Baby Factory After He Was Caught Selling 64 Babies
A shocking discovery has led to the arrest of a pastor, Peace Udoh, and two others for allegedly running a baby factory in a church in Ota, Ogun State. The 47- year- old pastor of Divine Yard Deliverance Ministry was accused of selling 64 babies before her arrest on Sunday by the Lagos State Police Command. The police also arrested Angela Akpan, who allegedly brought her 17- year- old sister, Goodnews Akpan, to the church to give birth, and a nurse, Mrs. Bukola Ajala, who assisted in childbirth at the church.
According to the police, the pastor and her accomplices operated a baby factory, where they sold newborn babies to unsuspecting buyers. The police commissioner, Fatai Owoseni, revealed that the suspects were arrested after receiving an intelligence report that the pastor needed a buyer for Goodnews’ baby. The police are still working to recover the 64 other children allegedly sold by the syndicate.
However, the pastor has denied the allegations, claiming that she used the church as a maternity home to assist her pregnant church members for a token. She stated that she had handled over 60 cases in 13 years and did not sell any babies. The nurse, Ajala, also denied knowledge of the baby sales, saying she only collected between N15, 000 and N17, 000 for each child delivery. Angela claimed she did not intend to sell her sister’ s child and had never sold any child before. Goodnews, the teenage mother, said she was not aware of any plan to sell her baby and had only followed her sister to Lagos to avoid ridicule in their village.
