SAY No To DRUGS! Man Caught Red- handed Standing Beside Mother’s Corpse After Killing Her; See Reason Why
Police officers in Delta State have detained a 23- year- old man, simply known as Samson, after he stabbed his mother to death, who was in her 50s, in Obiaruku community, leaving several persons in absolute shock over the heinous act of the suspect towards his own biological mother.
However, it was learnt that after completing high school, Samson was first transferred to Asaba, the state capital of Delta, to learn a trade, based to the evidence acquired. But a few months later, after getting associated with some drug- addled boys, he was returned because his brain was affected and damaged.
It was also discovered that he was then sent to Obiaruku, where his mother enrolled him at a local mental health center.
Speaking on the tragedy that occurred on Wednesday, 10th July 2024, an eyewitness who doesn’ t want his identity disclosed to the general public due to the delicate nature of the incident, disclosed that, ” they live on Jehovah Street, Obiedike Obiaruku, close to my shop. The mother is in her 50s but certainly not up to 60″ .
” At around 5 a. m. , the mother came outside and saw her son, Samson, smoking. She confronted him, telling him it was too early. Perhaps she shouted at him. Then Samson went inside, brought out a knife, and stabbed his mother. The elder brother, who is a sickle cell patient, was the one who shouted, which made people enter the compound because the gate of the compound was still locked at the time” , the source revealed.
Quite unfortunately, residents of the neighbourhood who had witnessed the exact same display of violence from the suspect on numerous instances told newsmen over the phone that the deceased’ s son developed a drug addiction after returning from Asaba. They added that as Samson stood near his mother’ s dead body without even attempting to escape until police agents arrived to take him into custody.
This reporter saw a video of the incident where certain individuals begged Samson to put down the knife while they were standing at the top of the building fence that divided Samson’ s home from the compound.
Samson was observed standing next to his mother’ s dead body, which was lying in a pool of blood, wearing boxers with no shirt on. The individual in question has been taken into custody, as confirmed by the Superintendent of Police, SP Bright Edafe, the spokesperson and public relations officer (PPRO)for the Delta State Police Command.
