HAAA Notorious Kidnappers Killed In Lagos Are Igbo Movie Actors? See What Veteran Kanayo Said That Clears All Doubts
The police command in the Ladipo region of Lagos executed an actor who was allegedly a kidnapper. Veteran Nollywood actor and producer Anayo Modestus Onyekwere, also known as Kanayo O. Kanayo has publicly disowned the actor.
The NewsGuru. com (TNG) reports that Prince Henry Ode’ s pictures were posted on Instagram on Monday by well- known film producer and former CEO of Best of Nollywood (BON), Seun Oloketuyi. Oloketuyi claimed the actor was one of the kidnappers killed during the gunfight in Ladipo. In response, Kanayo issued a warning to bloggers on Tuesday, asking them to be careful when designating people as ” actors and producers. ”
Introducing himself, the actor stated, ” My name is Kanayo O Kanayo, a Nollywood actor and a lawyer. And why I made this introduction is because I’ m one of the protectors of the Nigerian entertainment industry in word and in deed. ”
He continued, revealing his concerns about the reports. ” I just read this breaking news: ‘ Nollywood actor amongst nine alleged millionaire kidnappers killed by Police in Lagos. ‘ And I begin to ask, who is a Nollywood actor, who is a Nollywood producer? ” he said.
The actor further highlighted several instances people easily claim to be part of Nollywood. ” Is it somebody who calls himself a producer, assembling some girls or boys conducting an audition taking money from those that need to be auditioned that makes him a producer? ” he questioned.
” An actor is now somebody who leaves his trade, finds Nollywood a fertile ground to foist his activities? ”
Kanayo underscored the importance of accurate identification of genuine actors and producers by the media. ” We have to start defining the roles of an actor and a producer, ” he declared. The actor expressed gratitude to the Nigerian police for their efforts in ensuring the safety of Lagos.
