AFTER Asking Nnamdi Kanu To Beg Tinubu Or Die In Prison, See WARNING Kanu’s Family Sent To Primate Ayodele
In a dramatic turn of events, the family of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has issued a stern warning to Primate Elijah Ayodele of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church. This follows Ayodele’ s recent prophecy that Kanu must beg the Nigerian federal government for his release or face death in prison.
Primate Ayodele made the controversial statement last week during the launch of his 30th ” Warning to the Nations” at his church in Lagos. He stated unequivocally, ” Kanu should beg the government before he is released, or else he will die in jail. ”
This prophecy was met with significant backlash from Kanu’ s family, who have accused Ayodele of making provocative and misleading comments. Kanunta Kanu, Nnamdi Kanu’ s immediate younger brother, responded forcefully to Ayodele’ s remarks on Sunday.
In a strongly worded statement, Kanunta advised the Primate to cease making inflammatory comments under the guise of prophecy. He urged Ayodele to focus on his church duties and refrain from deceiving the public with purported divine messages that he claims have no basis in God’ s word.
” Stop deceiving gullible minds with purported prophecies that have nothing to do with God, ” Kanunta said. He further accused Ayodele of using Nnamdi Kanu’ s name to seek public attention and gain relevance.
” Ayodele should be courageous enough to tell the world what God said about the murderous invasion of our family home that resulted in the death of my parents and the murder of 28 other innocent visitors to our home. ”
Kanunta reminded Ayodele that God is just and does not punish the innocent. He pointed out that the Nigerian courts had ordered Kanu’ s unconditional release, which his oppressors have ignored for their own reasons. ” If Kanu had truly committed any crime, as Ayodele is purporting, the Nigerian courts would not have ordered his unconditional release, ” he asserted.
The family expressed deep disappointment in what they described as Ayodele’ s masquerading as God’ s mouthpiece, accusing him of spreading falsehoods instead of speaking truth to power. They lamented that ” sycophantic Bible bashers” like Ayodele are contributing to Nigeria’ s spiritual crisis by issuing ungodly prophecies.
” Kanu has suffered enough and does not need any distraction at this stage. Ayodele and his likes should rather pray for and offer counsel to Nigerian leaders to uphold justice and equity, ” the family stated.
They emphasized that liberators and freedom fighters have always faced persecution, citing historical figures like George Washington, Martin Luther King Jr. , Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, and even Jesus Christ, who suffered before achieving their goals.
The Kanu family’ s response highlights the deep emotional and political tensions surrounding Nnamdi Kanu’ s imprisonment. Kanu, who is a prominent figure advocating for the independence of Biafra from Nigeria, has faced numerous legal and political challenges. His family insists that he has committed no crime and is being unjustly held for demanding justice and fair treatment for his people.
This incident adds another layer to the complex and often contentious relationship between religious leaders, political activists, and the Nigerian government. It underscores the influence of religious prophecies in the socio- political landscape and the intense emotions they can provoke.
As the debate continues, it remains to be seen how this confrontation between Primate Ayodele and Nnamdi Kanu’ s family will evolve. For now, the Kanu family stands firm in their warning to Ayodele, demanding that he cease his provocative statements and focus on his religious duties.
