TERRIBLE! I Stabbed His Arm & My Colleague STABBED His Belly- Suspect Who Killed Retired Army General Confessed
In a recent development, the Police Command of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has arrested one of the suspects involved in the murder of Brigadier General Uwen Harold (retd.) in the Kabusa area of the FCT. The suspect, Rabiu Ibrahim, has confessed to the crime and provided details on why they allegedly killed the retired military officer.
Suspect’s Confession
According to the confession video obtained by PUNCH Metro, Rabiu Ibrahim, the suspect, stated that they attacked the victim with knives when he attempted to kill them with his gun. Ibrahim disclosed that the gang also stole a phone and a laptop belonging to the victim after killing him.
Narrating the incident in Pidgin English, Ibrahim said, “My name is Rabiu Ibrahim from Kano. I was arrested for robbery. We stole his (the Gen’s) phone and laptop. We had two knives with us. It was Kazeem who stabbed him in the belly and I stabbed him in the arm. The reason why we stabbed him was that he brought out a gun. We killed him because he had a gun.”
Police Investigations And Arrests
The FCT Police Commissioner, Benneth Igweh, stated that four suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of Brigadier General Harold. Two other suspects who are at large have been declared wanted..
Igweh further revealed that the police have recovered the knives used in the attack and the mobile phone of the late general from the suspects. He also assured the public that the late general’ s pistol would be recovered from the fleeing suspects.
Additional Arrests And Confessions In a separate operation, the police also arrested the chief informant, logistics suppliers, and a PoS operator working with some kidnappers. One of the suspects, Sunday Musa, confessed to distributing about N20 million on behalf of the kidnappers.
Musa, also known as Dan Gwari, is the chief informant and logistics supplier to the kidnapping groups under the general command of one Ardo, who is currently on the run. Musa confirmed that the group led by Ardo has over 15 members, all armed with AK-47 rifles, and that there are subgroups under him.
The police have vowed to continue their investigations and apprehend the remaining suspects to ensure justice is served in this case.
