Rev Kemei, who was from Simat in Uasin Gishu area, was pronounced dead on arrival at Top Hill Hospital in Eldoret after being referred from Kapsabet Level 5 hospital.
The KDF officer is currently at large, and the police have reported the matter to his superiors. The incident has sent shockwave through the community, with neighbors and church members expressing horror and disbelief.
The Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) Bishop of Kapsabet, Paul Korir, has yet to comment on the incident.
