See As Father Sold His 9- Month- Old Son To 3 Different Buyers- See What They Did To Him
In Ogun State, Nigeria, a 30-year-old man named Daniel Chigozie was arrested for selling his 9-month-old son, Daniel Chinonye Darlington, to three different buyers. This shocking incident was investigated by the Amotekun Corps, a security agency in Ogun State.
David Akinremi, the Commandant of the Amotekun Corps in Ogun State, explained that they received information about Chigozie’ s actions. They discovered that he had sold his son multiple times between August 2022 and February 2023. The transactions occurred in various locations in Lagos, including Sango, Meiran, and Apapa.
Chigozie sold his son to the first buyer for N150, 000, to the second buyer for N400, 000, and to the third buyer for N700, 000, totaling N1, 250, 000. The identities of these buyers remain unknown.
Further investigation revealed that Chigozie might be part of a criminal group. He had a method to retrieve his son from each buyer after the sale, allowing him to sell the boy again to someone else. This continued until he sold his son to the last buyer, a man named Dr. Nosa, in Apapa.
Daniel Chigozie lives in Abela, Sango- Ota, located in the Ado- Odo Local Government Area of Ogun State. He admitted to committing the crime when questioned by the authorities.
The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) is now involved in the case. They are working on recovering the child and prosecuting Chigozie for his actions. The Amotekun Corps is assisting NAPTIP in this follow-up investigation to ensure that justice is served and that the child is safe.
This case has shocked many and highlights the dangers of human trafficking and the urgent need for strong measures to protect children from such crimes.
