TEARS EVERYWHERE As Neighbour Goes Crazy, Open Fire On Man & His Wife Over This Ridiculous Reason
On Wednesday, 5th June 2024, a middle-aged man, precisely a 44- year-old fish farmer who lives in Alako Nla village, near Kobape Road in Abeokuta, Dauda Jolaosho, told the tragic story of how his friend and neighbour, Saheed Olawale, a timbre operator, shot and killed his beloved wife because they were yet to pay for the solar light they purchased.
However, Jolaosho claimed that Olawale, also known as Komaye, opened fire on him and his wife; sadly, only he had survived, suffering bullet wounds to his arm, and his wife passed away immediately.
The grieving husband claimed that the sad event had left him totally heartbroken and devastated since he never imagined that a neighbor who appears to be a very close friend could bring evil of such proportions to his home. It was learnt that, the 34- year-old deceased woman left behind three other children, ages thirteen, ten, and five, as well as twins who were eight months old.
Speaking with news correspondent about the unfortunate occurrence on Wednesday, Jolaosho said, this incident actually started on April 23, 2024. I was about to go out when the people that we bought solar lights from came to my house”.
“We actually bought these solar lights from them last year in March, we made a deposit of N10, 000 after which we are now paying N1150 every week, the total money is around N67, 000”.
“And I have been paying what is due for this solar light every week what I have left to pay is N3000. So when these people came to my house, they said that they wanted to check on Olawale too who is also popularly called Komaye”.
“They said that Olawale has stopped the weekly payments and that even when he is called he won’t pick his calls. They said they are left with no choice than to go back with the solar light to their office and they left a phone number with which he can. connect with them whenever he’s back from work”, he recounted.
In addition, he also disclosed that, despite purchasing the solar light alongside Olawale, he was unaware of
his unpaid weekly installment till the individuals who sold them the light paid them a visit. Jolaosho revealed further that Olawale started fighting with him and was not prepared to hear any explanation when he returned from work and discovered that the individuals had removed his solar light back to their office.
He mentioned saying, “the following morning which was Wednesday, April 24, Olawale came to my house, picked my phone and left”.
“The next thing I saw was his coming with the local gun. While my wife was on her knees begging him not to shoot, he suddenly pulled the trigger and I was hit on my arm when I looked back I found my wife of almost 18 years in the pool of her blood, she was dead”, he disclosed.
Conclusively, according to him, the Ogun State police command headquarters, located in Eleweran, Abeokuta, received the occurrence’ s initial report at the Kemta police station in Abeokuta. Jolaosho stated that following the commission of this offense, the suspect had since fled and nowhere to be found.
