Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national chairman Prince Uche Secondus has claimed that Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, is the driving force behind Governor Siminalayi Fubura’s
political problems. Speaking on Saturday, May 11, in Abuja, the PDP leader said that Fubura was being harassed by his rivals in politics for having the audacity to stop the state from being looted.

Speaking further, Secondus claimed that while Wike battles his successor, the state has been negatively portrayed by his actions, remarks, and unwavering rivalry with the governor, Vanguard reported.
The PDP leader said that Wike’s harsh actions as governor ruined the economy of Rivers State. He said that since taking office, the FCT minister has also been unable to bring any federal projects to the state of Rivers.
“Wike has been Governor for eight years and is now Minister of the FCT.” He declared: “What federal projects has Minister Wike brought to our beloved State since taking office? Maybe sorrow, loss, and suffering. As governor, he oversaw investors’ withdrawal from the state as a result of his harsh policies.”
