A few days after FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike declared that he is not practicing the Christian doctrine where one turns the other cheek for his enemies to slap, the latter on Saturday sent a shocking message to his successor, Sim Fubara ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a video that has since gone viral after the political crisis in Rivers State took a whole new twist, Wike announced that he is only a Christian but not a born again Christian’.
The FCT minister said he won’t turn the other cheek to be slapped because he is not sure if he will survive it.
Instead, he noted that he will blow the person’s head off after the first slap.
A few days later, Wike announced that he made a mistake with Fubara in 2023 and that he will correct it in 2027.
Speaking further, Wike slammed politicians in the state whom he described as ingrates.
During the weekend, Governor Siminalayi Fubara ordered an immediate relocation of the legislative business of the state House of Assembly to Government House in Port Harcourt.
The relocation order is contained in the state’s official Gazette, Executive Order of the Rivers State Government 001-2023, Channels Television reported.
The order came about 24 hours after Victor Oko- Jumbo, a lawmaker loyal to the governor emerged as a new factional speaker of the assembly and a few hours after hours after a High Court in the state barred the pro- Wike speaker and 24 other lawmakers from parading themselves as members of the assembly.
Notwithstanding, the Presidency, yesterday, said President Bola Tinubu will not take sides between Minister of Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike and Governor Siminalayi Fubara over the ongoing political crisis rocking Rivers State.
This came as the Rivers State government, yesterday took a swipe at the Abdulahi Ganduje- led All Progressives Congress, APC, over comment that Governor Siminalayi Fubara has committed impeachable offence.
