According to the report, the incident occurred at Olapade Street, Isale Haruna, Ifako Ijaiye area of Lagos, and was sparked by a disagreement between Precious and Mr. Awe over an undisclosed matter.
The altercation quickly escalated into a vicious and brutal fight, with Precious attacking Mr. Awe and biting him, as well as using a bottle to stab him in the chest, causing severe and deep injuries.
She then turned her attention to Onyinyechi and engaged her in a fierce and intense fight, with both women sustaining serious and visible injuries before their neighbors intervened and contacted the police.
The police investigation revealed that the fight was sparked by a dispute over Mr. Awe, and the two women were subsequently charged with the alleged offense, which carries a sentence of several years’ imprisonment.
Despite pleading not guilty, the prosecutor, Supol Benson Emerhi, requested a hearing date to enable the police to gather evidence and prove the allegations.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. L. A. Owolabi, granted bail to the defendants in the sum of N100,000 with a surety in like sum, who must demonstrate evidence of a means of livelihood and verified addresses. The case was adjourned for mention, and the defendants were remanded in custody at the Kirikiri correctional center in Lagos pending the perfection of their bail conditions.
