LADIES, BE WARNED! Gang Leader, Others Lure Unsuspecting Ladies From Internet To Hotels, See What They Do To Them
Three suspected serial rapists, including two ex- convicts, are reported to have been apprehended and taken into custody by security operatives of the Rivers State Police Command as the suspects allegedly used a variety of techniques to entice their victims, rape them, and take their possessions in Port Harcourt, the capital city of Rivers state and other parts of the state.
According to the authorities, the offenders drug their victims before performing the heinous deed by luring
them to hotels via internet chats. In a statement released in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, 7th May 2024, the Superintendent of Police, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, the command’ s spokesperson and public relations. officer (PPRO), revealed this to the general public.
Iringe- Koko claimed that one of the suspects, 32-year-old Louise Brutolu, was apprehended after security agents acted swiftly in the abduction case and reported to the command aftee which the gang leader was apprehended months later, while the suspect was also implicated in other crimes.
Narratively, the press report disclosed that, “following a reported abduction case involving Agor Ogechi F, a 28- year-old resident of Elele in Ikwerre LGA of the state, on July 1, 2023, the police swiftly intervened and have successfully apprehended the prime suspect involved in a series of heinous crimes”.
“Investigations revealed that the suspect, identified as Louise Brutolu, M, a 32-year-old resident of igoni Street, Abuloma, employed the use of phone chats to lure his victims to the Pacific Suite Hotel, Abuloma. Upon booking a room, the suspect drugged the victims, rendering them unconscious, and subsequently stole their valuables’
“In the case of Agor Ogechi, her iPhone, a sum of N20, 000 and her ATM card were reported stolen”, it noted.
In addition, it was reported tha the Anti- Kidnapping Unit swiftly launched an operation in response to the victim’ s allegation, which resulted in Louise Brutolu’s arrest. The drug used to sedate the victims had been successfully recovered during the arrest and the suspect has promised to assist in apprehending the gang boss and stated that he works for an undisclosed master.
The Rivers State Police Command was able to apprehend the gang leader whose identity is being kept anonymous for investigative purposes after months of diligent investigation. Following this arrest, numerous possessions and valuables from multiple victims were found, including three female bags, twenty-one cell phones, and receipt booklets.
Interestingly, the gang leader faced charges in court after being apprehended in 2021 for identical offenses, according to the press report adding that the persistence of such horrible acts highlighted the significance of ongoing watchfulness and preventative actions in combating the threat of online criminal activities most especially against the female gender.
