How Man Was Sentenced To Life Imprisonment Over Second Hand Phone He Got From Friend
Musa Mukanga, a Kenyan man, told his tale after receiving a life sentence. According to reports, the man’ s journey started on September 2, 2013, when he was given a cell phone by a buddy.
He had no idea that the gadget was connected to a criminal activity. He naively believed that his friend was acting in good faith when he put in his SIM card and PIN, only to discover that the phone had abruptly shut off owing to low battery. In search of a solution, he brought the gadget to his sister’s hotel where it was charged. He picked it up the following morning before leaving for work.
When he tried to unlock the gadget, he discovered he didn’t have the password, therefore it wasn’ t accessible. Trying to find a solution, the man gave the phone to his sister, telling her to give it back to his friend Ng’ang’ a when he got there.
Sadly, a week later, the man was approached by police, who detained him without delay after obtaining an explanation for the phone he was carrying.
Unaware of the seriousness of the situation, Musa revealed the details around the phone, thus bringing himself and his companion into disrepute.
Both Musa and Ng’ ang’ a were subsequently taken into custody. Sadly, Ng’ ang’ a confessed to giving Musa the controversial phone during questioning.
Musa pleaded his innocence and didn’ t know about the dubious origins of the phone, but the legal system moved forward and sentenced him to death, which was ultimately lowered to life in
The man’s story is a very big lesson to so many people who love buying second hand things. However the is no level of plea that will prove the man’ s innocency he has to face his punishment.
