A woman was discovered dead following her topless and gunpoint interrogation by members from a Mexican cartel. Members of the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel compelled Laura Karen Rodríguez Moreno to confess that she was a member of a rival drug cartel and had been collaborating with local law enforcement. She was compelled to acknowledge her membership in the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) and the purported connection between the CJNG and the Salamanca, Guanajuato, Municipal Police.
On social media, footage of the interrogation was circulated. Laura is shown in the unsettling video standing in front of a white automobile at night while wearing shorts and no shirt. She is being questioned off camera by an interrogator while she is surrounded by masked guys brandishing big firearms. When the questioner asks Laura her name in Spanish, she responds, “Laura Karen Rodriguez Moreno.”
