Alhaji Dardau tragically collapsed and passed away in Lokoja, the capital city of Kogi State, on Friday, April 5th.
What led to Dardau’s death According to information from a family source reported by Daily Trust, Dardau breathed his last shortly after leading the early morning prayer at the mosque.
The source revealed that the esteemed government official had been grappling with high blood pressure and had been managing the condition since the passing of his senior wife last year.
“He slumped in his sitting-room this morning. He had been managing High Blood Pressure, BP for sometimes now. “He lost his most senior wife last year”, said the source, who pleaded anonymity.
The cooperate headquarters of NIWA in Lokoja was thrown into mourning following the GM’s death in the early hours of the day as many staff were spotted discussing his demise.
Alhaji Jibril Dardau was laid to rest at the Unguwan Power graveyard in Lokoja following the Friday Juma’ at prayer, with mourners paying their respects amidst tears and observing Islamic funeral rites.
