Fight Turns Bloody As Lady Attacks & Stabs Another Lady’s Eye With Broken Bottle, See Reason
A shocking incident happened at the residence of Alhaji Salawu Street in Lagos, as a violent altercation led to a 26- year- old woman, Adebanwo Temiwunmi, allegedly used a bottle to stab another woman, Helen Oyelakin in the eye.
The attack resulted in severe damage to Helen’ s right eye, leaving her completely blind, the incident occurred in the Olodi Apapa area where both women reside. The cause of the fight has not been disclosed, however, Adebanwo Temiwunmi has been charged with grievous harm for the attack on Helen.
She was arrested and appeared before the Ajegunle Magistrate Court where she pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against her. The prosecutor, Inspector O. M. Anim, has requested a date for a hearing to prove Adebanwo Temiwunmi’ s involvement in the alleged offense that happened on that very day.
The presiding magistrate, granted Adebanwo Temiwunmi bail of N200, 000 with two sureties in like sum. These sureties must provide evidence of means of livelihood and their addresses must be verified, Adebanwo has been remanded in custody, until she meets the bail conditions set by the court.
The incident has raised concerns about the safety and security of those in Alhaji Salawu Street, the use of violence to settle disputes has been highlighted as a dangerous behavior. The residents are shocked by the consequences of the violent altercation and the permanent damage inflicted upon Helen Oyelakin.
