My Wife Grabs & Squeezes My MANHOOD Whenever We Fight- Man Laments In Court While Seeking For DIVORCE
A married man who goes by the name, Adekola Ayodele has hauled his wife Bolanle before an Ibadan Mapo Grade A Customary Court in an attempt to get a divorce on the grounds of physical abuse in their matrimonal home.
The complaint, Ayodele, a mechanic, claimed that, ” I never enjoyed any moment of peace since I married my wife. Bolanle has no regard for me. She sends her brother to beat me up for no reason. Worst still, she nearly killed me the last time because she held and squeezed my private part to cut it off. In fact, Bolanle got me arrested over a matter I knew nothing about” .
” In short, her wish is to control me and over my dead body will that happen because I’ m the man of the house” , he told the court.

Explaining further, he begged the court to give him custody of the two kids and to keep the respondent (wife) at a long distance from him.
The trader, Bolanle, however, remained mute about the majority of the accusations made against her.
” My lord, everything I did was in self- defence. Our last fight had to do with the issue of who should take the children to school. My relatives and his have tried on many occasions to intervene, but no amicable solution was reached” .
“I squeezed his private part because Ayodele put his hands on me. He grabbed my neck in an attempt to strangle me. He starves our children and I. I am not interested in the marriage anymore”,

In her ruling, the court’ s president, Mrs. S. M. Akintayo, declared that Ayodele’ s earlier assertion that he paid the bride price before obtaining Bolanle’ s hand in marriage was unfounded, invalidating the traditional marriage.
According to Akintayo, the petitioner did not pay anything for the respondent since he was unable to recall the precise amount he gave her parents as bride price, adding that there is no marriage between them that has to be dissolved.
