WICKED WORLD! Why I Killed My Best Friend And Dumped His Body Inside Pit- Suspect Confesses
The suspect, Babalola Dolapo, aged 39, confessed to the gruesome murder of his childhood friend, Evangelist Opeyemi Oyelakin, in Ondo State. Dolapo revealed that he and his accomplice, Sikiru Mutiu, killed Oyelakin during a struggle while attempting to steal his motorcycle. Afterward, they sold the stolen bike for N130, 000 and split the proceeds equally.
In his confession, Dolapo expressed remorse and attributed his actions to the influence of evil forces, stating that he had never committed murder before and that it was a tragic coincidence that his childhood friend became his victim.
He recounted hitting Oyelakin with a stone during the altercation, leading to his death. Despite knowing the victim’ s family personally, Dolapo couldn’ t provide a rational explanation for his actions.
The State Police Commissioner, Abayomi Oladipo, condemned the negligence of farm owners in the area for failing to report the presence of the decomposing body despite the foul odor.
Through diligent investigation and technical intelligence, Dolapo was apprehended, leading to the recovery of the victim’ s body from a pit in the bush where it was dumped.
Oladipo emphasized the need for caution among motorcycle riders, urging them to be wary of passengers, especially when traveling to isolated areas.
He also called on the public to report suspicious activities promptly and assured ongoing efforts to apprehend Dolapo’ s accomplice, Sikiru Mutiu, who is currently at large.
He added that immediately after the investigation is complete, the arrested suspect would be charged before the court of law for prosecution.
Additionally, an enlightenment campaign targeting motorcycle riders has been initiated to raise awareness about the dangers of transporting passengers to remote locations.
