TEARS! ! ! See How 2 Brothers Begged For Mercy While Been Set On Fire For Stealing From Shop Traders [VIDEO]
The story of two individuals believed to be siblings were killed in a fire in Onitsha, Anambra State, suspected of engaging in illegal activities. A video capturing the incident had circulated online, showing witnesses shouting, ” These men are extorting money illegally in the Bida area of Onitsha. ”
They were being burned alive for engaging in touting, this is unacceptable, the punishment seems excessive for such a minor offense, they are someone’ s loved ones. This incident is reminiscent of the Bakassi Boys era, the suspected touts were captured in the video attempting to flee from the flames but were unsuccessful.
In response to the situation, the Anambra Police Command denounced the act of vigilante justice but characterized the individuals as notorious criminals, the Police Public Relations Officer, Tochukwu Ikenga, stated. The Commissioner of Police expressed disapproval and emphasized the importance of citizens taking criminal suspects to the Police Station.
Consequently, the CP has mandated a comprehensive inquiry into the occurrence. Initial reports suggest that the pair, identified as Omaume and Monday, were affiliated with a well- known armed robbery syndicate under the leadership of an individual known as Ikanda (male), who is currently held at the Correctional Service Custodial Center.
The group is accused of carrying out numerous assaults and robberies on traders and unsuspecting individuals at the Main Market, Onitsha. It should be noted that the Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, recently initiated the Anambra Special Anti-Touting Squad as part of his campaign to eliminate touting activities in the state.
At the unveiling ceremony held in Upper- Iweka, Onitsha, the governor issued a stern caution that the era of touting in the state was coming to an end, as a decisive battle had been initiated against them. Soludo emphasized that reinstating law and order in a society where lawlessness was prevalent would be challenging, underlining the necessity of the operation.
He extended his congratulations to the squad members who had been selected based on their merit, encouraging them to carry out their duties with dedication, enthusiasm, and thoroughness. He further counseled them to follow the established regulations and the code of behavior that govern their activities in the area.

“We have encouraged the youth to leave their hideouts in the forests, our aim is to assist in their rehabilitation into society, enabling them to contribute positively to their families, and the nation”. ” As we focus on addressing criminal elements on a broader scope, we will also address touting in the larger Onitsha area and throughout Anambra State.
“We are engaged in a battle to restore the essence of society founded upon principles of law and order, as opposed to a society where individuals act without regard for rules”. Touts disrupt patrons who travel from all corners of the nation, however, our mission is to salvage Onitsha as a center of commerce and ensure the prosperity of Anambra State as a whole, “he emphasized.
