In Ondo town, which is situated in Ondo State, a housewife and farmer who was identified simply by the name, Kudirat Bolarinwa, 45 years of age was sent to her early grave by an ex-convict, who forcefully had carnal knowledge of her and right after the act, fatally butchered her to death before fleeing the scene.
Quite unfortunately, the victim was murdered in cold blood after getting mercilessly raped by the suspect in Lakere community, which is situated in Ayeyemi area of the town in Ondo. The police search team found her naked and decaying body in the forest over the
weekend.
According to some reliable sources, the deceased was ambushed, raped, and slaughtered after being accompanied by the suspect on a farm to get some plantains.
In addition, the deceased housewife after reporting the case to the security authorities in Enu- Owa Police Division, the deceased wife’s husband, Abolarinwa, directed and escorted some police officers to begin immediate search for his missing wife.
At the scene of the crime, there was allegedly a bag with a small paper inside that belonged to the killer. As indicated on the paper discovered at the crime scene, the suspect was freed from Segede prison on February 6, 2024, the source continued saying, the deceased woman was discovered completely naked with machete cuts all over her body after which a police source confirmed that there were other signs of brutal marks and injuries on her body which showed that there was a struggle between the suspect and deceased.
In the meantime, the state police. command have begun a manhunt for the suspected ex- convict who is currently at large. Responding to newsmen inquiries, Funmi Odunlami, the public relations officer (PPRO) for the state police command issued a press report to announce the tragedy to the general public. 1700hrs, one Tajudeen Bolarinwa of Ago Road, Onipetesi village reported that at 1630 hrs that his wife, Mrs. Kudirat Bolarinwa aged 45 yrs, who goes from one farm to the other to buy kolanuts was killed in the bush by an unknown person. At the scene of the incident, the deceased was left with only pant and the side of her face, lower arm and head was severely butchered with machete.
“The body of the deceased had been
