neighbourhood of Ikorodu, according to the prosecuting attorney, the Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP Christian Okonofua, who testified against him in court.
Explaining further, the prosecutor, Okonofua went on to clarify that during a fight, Kenneth forcefully removed one scrotum from the victim, Mr. Pascal Uche, his neighbour and co-owner of the market, causing him unimaginable pain and grievious damage to his private part. The prosecution claimed that the offense violated Section 245 of the Lagos State Criminal Law of 2015, adding that if the defendant is found and proven guilty, thd offense attracts no less than seven years imprisonment. On the other hand, the defendant was granted bail in the amount of N250,000 with two guarantors in an equivalent amount by the presiding magistrate, Mrs. A. O. Onalaja.
In the meantime, the judge, Onalaja then postponed the matter until March 14, 2024 for next sitting in court after which she appealed to the general public to always choose peace over violence as nothing good comes out of taking the law into your own hands no matter the offense of those who get on our nerves because if anything goes wrong during the altercation, the story changes and it doesn’t always end well most especially
for the one who causes harm to the
other.
This is a stern warning to others at large to make up their mind not to indulge themselves in fights or violent acts but rather seek peaceful reconciliation as it’ s the matured thing to do rather than going physical with each other which might ultimately led to a tragic end.
