Lagos Beach Turn BLOODY As Hoodlums VIOLENTLY Slaughter Many Residents, Burn Houses, See Why
There has been tension and commotion among the residents of Ibeshe Beach in the Amuwo Odofin area of Lagos State following the invasion of some armed hoodlums who murdered many people in a bloody attack.
It was gathered that the killings occurred between Monday night, 4th of March 2024, and early Tuesday, 5th of March 2024.
Based on the report gathered by the newsmen, the hoodlums also destroyed goods worth millions of naira. Some beach houses in the neighborhood were also destroyed and set on fire.
It was learned that the incident happened after some hoodlums in the community engaged in a bloody clash over the ownership of a vast expanse of land that covers the beach. The hoodlums killed themselves and other residents during the bloody clash.
While reacting to the incident, Hundeyin Benjamin who happens to be the Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command verified the occurrence of the incident.
He added that immediately after the report was submitted, some police operatives were quickly dispatched to. the scene of the incident.
While speaking with the newsmen, a source who prefers not to be mentioned revealed that the land that caused the clash between the hoodlums is already the subject of litigation in court.
He added that the clash began when one
of the parties fighting for the land in court demanded his share from the levies and tolls collected by the present
owner at the beach.
He further revealed that the matter became worse when the group brought In some hoodlums who were armed with weapons to the beach. On getting there, the hoodlums began to attack anybody they set their eyes on at the beach.
Another resident who prefers not to be mentioned told the newsmen that the hoodlums didn’t stop the killings and destruction of properties until late in the night.
In his words, he said, “The hoodlums were shooting heavily, killing people. They also set the beach houses ablaze. The battle was very terrific.
“They came back on Tuesday morning to burn the rest of the beach houses and
brutally murdered more people at the
beach.” According to the report, the security operatives who visited the scene
evacuated three dead bodies on Tuesday
morning.
When contacted about the number of casualties, the PPRO could not state the exact number of deaths as of the time of filing this report.
In his words, he said, “I can’t state the
actual figure of the death cases at the moment but I can say that some of our men are presently at the scene controlling the situation.”
