See Shocking End Of Pastor Who Killed Native Doctor With Cutlass And Said It Was God’s Instruction
In Umusiome, Nkpor, located within the Idemili North local government area of Anambra State, a tragic incident unfolded as a self- proclaimed pastor, 21-year-old Uchenna Chukwuma, allegedly carried out a fatal machete attack on a 60-year-old native doctor named Oliver Chukwudi.
Uchenna claimed that he received divine instructions from God to eliminate the victim, alleging that the native doctor had been causing spiritual disturbances in his life and impeding his financial progress. According to SP Haruna Mohammed, the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, who briefed DAILY POST about the incident, the suspect has been apprehended and is in police custody.
Haruna stated, The suspect, a native of Amagunze in Nkanu East LGA of Enugu State, confessed during interrogation that he was directed by God to execute the native doctor. He further asserted that the victim’s spiritual interference had hindered his financial advancement. *The police received a report on September 3, 2020, around 2: 10 PM, regarding the murder of Oliver Chukwudi Ugwu, aged 60, of Umusiome, Nkpor, originally from Umuavor village, Abor in Udi LGA of Enugu State.
The victim succumbed to injuries inflicted by Uchenna Chukwuma, who resides on Ugwuezue Street, Umusiome, Nkpor, Idemili North LGA of Anambra State, as per the police report.
Police detectives from the Ogidi Division, under the leadership of CSP Ekuri Remigius, swiftly responded to the scene of the crime. They transported the victim, who was discovered in a pool of blood, to lyi Enu Hospital in Ogidi for urgent medical attention. Tragically, the attending medical personnel pronounced him dead upon arrival. The deceased’ s remains were then deposited at the hospital mortuary pending autopsy.
Haruna confirmed the recovery of the machete used in the gruesome attack as evidence. The case has since been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Awka for a thorough and discreet investigation aimed at uncovering the true
circumstances surrounding the incident.
