VALENTINE Gone Wrong As Body Of Popular Prophet’s Body Was Found After Missing In The Beach
In a tragic event making rounds, Prophet Oriyomi Remilekun, a Lagos-based religious leader known for his vibrant personality, tragically drowned during a Valentine’s Day celebration at Avista Beach in Ajah.
The incident occurred as he led a group of 16 youths from his white garment church on a planned love feast at the beach resort.
After an evening of festivities, Oriyomi went missing, prompting his colleagues to launch a search that proved unsuccessful.
According to a source familiar with the Incident, Oriyomi’ s girlfriend mentioned that he had given her his phone, entered an area, and assured her of his return. Despite efforts to locate him that night, they couldn’t find him.
The source had said, The youths of the church parish at Gbagada were on a planned Valentine’s Day love feast at the Avista Beach Resort and they were 16 in number. They first lodged at a shortlet apartment very close to the resort where they had a party before later moving into the beach resort.
“Around 9pm, they prepared to leave and when they got to the car park, they discovered that Oriyomi was missing. When they asked his girlfriend, she said he gave her his phone, went in and promised to come back. They later went to the beach, searched for him and could not find him before they left.”
The search continued the next day, and a report was eventually lodged with the police. Avista Beach’s management later confirmed the tragic occurrence, revealing that Oriyomi’s body was discovered on a different beach within
the community.
A member of the beach resort’s management, speaking on the sensitive
nature of the incident, questioned why the search party didn’t raise an alarm on the night of the disappearance. In his words; ” On Sunday afternoon, we saw a group of people with police officers from Ogombo Police Station who told us they came to report that someone was missing at the beach. They invited us to the station and we wrote our statement. After that, the police invited the remaining colleagues. About three hours after they were invited, we got a call that a body had been found at Baracuda Beach Resort. The guys did not lodge at the resort and the body was not found there. They started the search around 9pm and that time in Lagos is just like early morning. Why didn’t they raise the alarm but instead went home that night? This is a beach resort where
everybody comes and goes home.
The police were involved, and the remaining colleagues were invited for
statements.
The discovery of Oriyomi’s body at
Baracuda Beach Resort raised questions about the timeline and the handling of
the situation.
Social media posts mourning the
prophet’s untimely death surfaced, with

admiration for his character.
Erinle Abel, a Facebook user, praised Oriyomi s humility, spiritual gifts, and positive impact on the community. Despite social media announcements, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, claimed to be
unaware of the incident.
