Secondary School Student Slaps Teacher, Tears His Clothes In Front Of His Parent; See His End
A secondary school student has landed in trouble after he and his parents went to a government school to assault teachers in Ogun State. The student became arrogant after his parents refused to allow him to do his exam in the school, this led to a punishment from the school principal. The matter escalated when the student went home to inform his parents about what happened. The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a mother, father and their son over what they did to their son’s teachers. Despite that the parents had begged the school for forgiveness, the police in conjunction with the State Commissioner for Education are seriously ready to deal with them in order to use them as a deterrent to other parents and students who want to indulge in the act of assaulting teachers.
The son who was identified as Azeez Olawale, an SS3 student of Agbara Grammar School, in the Ado- Odo/Ota Local Government Area of the State. It was gathered that his parents took him (Olawale) to another private school to register him for the May/June West African Senior Secondary School Examinations. This infuriated the school principal, Mr Ajibola Olanrewaju, who accused Olawale of acting unruly in the school.
The principal reportedly seized the school uniform of Olawale and him going to another school to register for his SSCE exam increased the anger of the principal. The uniform was seized because Olawale was writing his exam in another school. Olawale went home after his uniform was seized and informed his parents what happened.
It was gathered that his parents stormed the school some minutes later but all efforts to explain things to the parents proved abortive as they got angry over the decision made by the principal. It was in the course of the discussion that Olawale slapped one of the teachers and tore his clothes.
The State Commissioner for Education, Prof Abayomi Arigbabu, who reacted to the incident said the student and his parents would be prosecuted for what they did to the teacher. What is your reaction to the incident?
