As Nigeria faces a severe economic
crisis, Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has called on Nigerians to stop blaming and insulting President Bola Tinubu and his cabinet. He said that such actions would not solve the problems of the country, but rather worsen them. He advised Nigerians to pray for Tinubu and his ministers, who he said were confused and overwhelmed by the situation. He said that only prayers could give them the divine guidance and wisdom to find solutions and make the country better.
Primate Ayodele made these remarks in a statement issued by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, on Tuesday. He warned that the economy could collapse in the next two weeks if the crisis was not resolved. He said that Nigerians could face a situation where workers would go on strike and traders would refuse to sell their goods because of the high cost of living.
He said that Nigerians should have listened to his earlier warnings against voting for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 elections. He said that the APC had failed to deliver on its promises and had plunged the country into more hardship. He said that Nigerians should not resort to protests and curses, but rather to prayers for their leaders.
He said: ” Cursing President Tinubu and those in power won’t resolve anything. It’ s Important for Nigerians to pray for their leaders, as we all desire a better country. Despite my warning against voting for APC, Nigerians didn’t heed it, and now they’ re facing the consequences. Rather than protests and curses, we should focus on praying for our leaders.
“In the next two weeks, the Nigerian economy may shut down if there is no solution to some of the issues we are facing, especially on price control. We could see widespread strikes and reluctance to sell goods due to economic hardship. We’ ve reached this. point because we falled to listen, and curses won’t help. What we need now is God’s mercy for our leaders and our nation.
Primate Ayodele also reminded Nigerians of his previous advice to the government to reduce the prices of food items to ease the burden on the masses. He urged the government to focus on five key areas in 2024 that could make. the country great. These are: (1) Stable electricity, (2) Improved security and more weapons, (3) Infrastructural development, (4) Agriculture (plenty of food) and (5) Job creation.
He said that these were the areas that the government should prioritize and invest in to revive the economy and improve the welfare of Nigerians. He
said that he would continue to pray for the country and its leaders, and he appealed to Nigerians to do the same. Primate Ayodele is known for his prophetic utterances and predictions on national and international issues. He had predicted the emergence of Tinubu as the president of Nigeria in 2023, as well as the death of prominent Nigerians in 2024. He had also warned of impending disasters and calamities in the country, such as plane crashes, fire outbreaks, and kidnappings. He had urged Nigerians to pray fervently to avert these tragedies.
