A tragic incident has shaken the community of Kwale in Delta State, as reports emerged of the untimely demise of a Pentecostal pastor, whose identity remains undisclosed, allegedly while engaged in a sexual encounter with a 19- year-old girl at a local hotel. Confirming the incident, Delta Police Command Spokesperson, DSP Andrew Aniamaka, disclosed that the pastor’s demise occurred in a hotel room within the x Ndokwa West Local Government Delta. The revelation surfaced du press briefing held in Asaba on Wednesday.
According to Aniamaka, the distressing event came to light after the pastor’s wife lodged a report with the authorities on November 19th, prompting an immediate investigation into the matter. Detailing the sequence of events, Aniamaka narrated that hotel staff became aware of the situation when the young woman, allegedly involved with the pastor, raised an alarm upon noticing his distress. Prompted by her cries for help, hotel personnel rushed to the scene only to discover the pastor’s lifeless body.
“The incident transpired last Sunday evening. It was reported that the pastor accompanied the 19-year-old girl to a hotel room, Aniamaka stated. Shortly after their arrival, the girl raised an alarm, attracting the attention of hotel staff who promptly intervened, only to find the pastor unresponsive. “Upon receiving news of her husband’ s tragic demise, the pastor’s wife was immediately summoned to the hotel, where she was confronted with the heartbreaking sight of her spouse’ s lifeless form. Subsequently, she proceeded to report the incident to the Kwale Police Division, initiating official involvement in the case.
Aniamaka further revealed that authorities intend to conduct an autopsy to ascertain the precise cause of the pastor’s death. Meanwhile, an extensive Investigation has been launched to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the unfortunate event.
The community remains in shock and mourning as they grapple with the sudden loss of a prominent religious figure under such distressing circumstances.
