An elderly man, 53 years of age who goes by the name, Kenneth Mba and worked as a businessman has bagged himself lifetime sentence in prison after his arraignment before the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) for forcefully having carnal knowledge of his friend’s daughter, 12 years of age on three different occasions.
In a tweet on Wednesday, 14th February 2024, the agency celebrated and corrobated Mba’ s conviction and sentence to the general public via its verified X handle (formerly known as Twitter), @LSdsva.
However, during the trial of the accused, Mba was condemned to spend the rest of his life in prison after being found guilty of child defilement by Justice Rahman Oshodi of the Ikeja Sexual Offenses and Domestic Violence Court on Wednesday.
In his ruling, the judge made it clear that the accusation of defilement leveled against Mba was proven by the prosecuting attorney beyond a reasonable doubt as the offender confessed to the judge that he defiled the youngster three times in his house and offered her N200 each time, as written in his confessional statement.
The child’ s testimony, as confirmed by the judge, also supported the above- mentioned assertion as she lamented and recalled her unpleasant experiences in the hands of the randy friend of her father.
“You, at the age of 53, had sex with your friend’ s daughter, who you knew was 12 years old”, the judge criticized the convict.
