3 Yahoo Boys Caught After Using Facebook To Defraud Many People; See What Court Told Them To Do
Nemesis has caught up with three internet fraudsters (Yahoo boys) who leverage on Facebook to defraud the general public. A credible intelligence led EFCC operatives to the hideout of the criminals and the anti- graft agency did not take the matter lightly. It is quite unfortunate that the fraudsters had harmed many people with their scams before they were caught.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has disclosed what a Federal High Court sitting in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, ordered some Yahoo boys to do after they defrauded many people on social media platforms. The fraudsters were identified as Abraham Itoro Sunday, Ezea Chidera Charles, and Udoh Christopher Gabriel. Trouble started for them after the operatives of EFCC, Uyo Zonal Command, received credible information that led to their arrest.
The fraudsters were said to be using fake identities to scam their victims on social media platforms. Charles registered a Facebook account and portrayed himself as ‘Molina Urovsky’, Sunday portrayed himself as Brian O’ niel and Gabriel presented himself as Alexander Douglas on Instagram.
Shortly after their arrest and the conclusion of the investigation, the anti- graft agency charged the trio to court. The final judgment was delivered recently and during the judgment court sentenced them to prison, S TAKE and Charles to six months imprisonment each but was given the option to pay a fine of N200, 000 while Gabriel was sentenced to five months imprisonment with an option of a fine of N150, 000. Also, the court told the convict to forfeit/submit their phone to the federal government.
It is left for the convict to choose whatever suits them, either they serve the prison term or pay their fines. Meanwhile, they had scammed a lot of people according to the report. Getting the money for a fine may not be a problem for them, what is your reaction to the judgment?

The judgment is disheartening,why should fraudster be given such judgement.we won’t stop to see them in numbers when there are not adequate consequences for their fraudulent activities,they should serve atleast 10 years in prison and also about 15million fine that will teach others a great lesson and even those will to join the fraud circle
