EKITI Monarchs KILLING! Fire On The Mountain As Sunday Igboho Makes Crucial Demand From FG Over The Killers Of Ekiti Obas
On Thursday, Yoruba nation activist Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, made a request to the Federal Government and pertinent security agencies to guarantee the prompt apprehension and legal action against the assassins of two traditional leaders in Ekiti State.
On Monday, on the route between Ipapo and Oke Ake, gunmen ambushed and killed Oba Babatunde Ogunsakin, the Elesun of Ekiti, and Oba Olatunde Olusola, his counterpart in Imojo. Oba Adebaye Fatoba, the Alara of Ara Ekiti, barely made it out of the scene.
In a statement sent to The PUNCH from his attorney, Pelumi Olanjengbesi, in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, Adeyemo stated that those accountable for the murder of the two monarchs needed to be quickly caught and brought to justice for their horrific act.
He said that the students of the Apostolic Faith Group of Schools, Emure Ekiti, who were also kidnapped by some thugs, should be saved at all costs by the security services.
” My sympathies are also with the impacted families and the defenseless schoolchildren abducted in the state’ s Eporo Ekiti Local Government Area. This tragic event not only represents a significant loss for the Yoruba people, but it also puts doubt on our reputation as a peaceful people. Such horrible deeds jeopardize the safety and advancement of the state as well as those of other states facing this threat. ”
