INCREDIBLE ! ! Meet The Woman Who Set A World Record By Singing A Christmas Song For 31 Hours
In a remarkable feat, Nigerian artist Ewaoluwa Olatunji, known by her stage name Ewa Cole or ” Queen of Afro- Solk, ” has clinched the Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon, serenading audiences with Christmas songs for an impressive 31 hours.
The 29- year- old singer, hailing from Lagos State, expressed her motivation for this challenge as a quest to ” promote peace and unity” while inspiring confidence among young people. Having been accustomed to performing at school Christmas carols since childhood, Ewa embraced this opportunity to make a lasting mark on the world stage.
Throughout her record- setting attempt, Ewa delivered renditions of classic Christmas songs like ” Deck the Halls, ” ” Frosty the Snowman, ” and ” Silent Night, ” carefully avoiding repetition within a one- hour period. Adhering to Guinness World Record regulations, she was granted a five- minute rest break after each continuous hour of singing, which could be accumulated for other necessities.
However, the prolonged singing sessions took a toll on Ewa, as she battled fatigue, throat pain, and stomach problems during her marathon. Reflecting on the most challenging period, she revealed incidents of mild food poisoning, forcing her to navigate discomfort while maintaining her performance.
