So PAINFUL! See What Was Discovered Inside Abandoned School Bus, After Gunmen Kidnapped Pupils In Ekiti (VIDEO)
Unidentified gunmen, suspected to be kidnappers, reportedly struck in Ekiti State, kidnapping teachers and pupils attending a private nursery school in Emure, which is the headquarters headquarters of Emure Local Government Area of the state.
It was reported that the gunmen intercepted a school bus, while it was conveying the pupils and the teachers at about 5: 00 on Monday evening, on the 29th of January, along Eporo- Ekiti Street, in Emure.
According to sources familiar with the situation, six of the pupils and three school teachers, as well as the driver of the bus, were abducted, and their current location remains yet unknown.
” They were abducted after their school bus was accosted in Eporo Ekiti, at a location that shares a boundary with Ondo State, on Monday evening, ” the source reported.
This incident happened on the same day when gunmen also launched another attack in a different area of the state, killing two traditional rulers, in Oke- Ako axis of Ikole Local Government Area of the state.
Reacting to the incident, the state governor, Biodun Oyebanji, urged the citizens of the state not to despair over the abduction of the school pupils and their teachers in Emure- Ekiti.
The governor assured that efforts are underway to get the children and their teachers out of captivity. Governor Oyebanji described the abduction of the school pupils as callous and unacceptable, said nothing would be spared in the efforts to save them.
