The renowned pirate known as John Togo the Second, the State Commissioner of Police, CP, has passed away, according to the Rivers State Police Command.
John Togo was allegedly involved in high- profile kidnapping, illegal oil bunkering, and arms trafficking, according to Olatunji Disu.
Disu claimed that while preparing to ambush security guards patrolling the Bille- Degema- Okrika waterways with speedboats, the criminal, the Anchor Head of Iceland Confraternity, was killed.
The authorities have executed a notorious pirate known as John Togo the Second for his terrorising of major waterways in the state of Rivers.
The State Commissioner of Police, CP. Olatunji Disu, announced this in Port Harcourt, the state capital, according to The Nation.
The late Togo, according to Disu, was the Anchor Head of the Iceland Confraternity and was involved in high- profile kidnapping, illegal oil bunkering, and arms trafficking.
According to Vanguard, the police chief claimed that John Togo’ s most heinous deeds were the ambush and murder of four members of a sister security agency on November 1, 2023, along the Bakana River in the Degema local government area.
He said: ” John Togo’ s criminal career began in the Borikiri area of Port Harcourt, where he initially engaged in cult- related activities. Gradually, he graduated from petty crimes and evolved into a full- fledged kidnapper and sea pirate, assembling a gang of ruthless criminals along the way. “
