UNBELIEVABLE! Wike Drops Unexpected Statement About Escalating Kidnapping In Abuja; See What He UNCOVERED That Raises Concern
In a press briefing held in Abuja on Monday, the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr Nyesom Wike, candidly addressed the escalating challenges faced by security operatives due to a severe lack of equipment and operational vehicles. The former Rivers State Governor asserted that this dearth was a significant factor contributing to the alarming rise in kidnappings and abductions within Abuja.
Wike, speaking during a media chat reported by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), underscored the urgent need for a strategic overhaul in the security apparatus. He expressed his deep concern over the inadequacies that hindered the efficacy of security operations, shedding light on the alarming fact that even basic tools for tracking criminals were unavailable.
” The current situation is untenable. Facilities essential for effective security measures are lacking, and the dearth of operational vehicles is crippling our security agencies, ” stated Wike, emphasizing the severity of the situation.
However, the Minister assured the public that a comprehensive response was underway, following President Bola Tinubu’ s approval of emergency procurement measures. These measures are earmarked for the acquisition of cutting- edge digital tracking tools and operational vehicles, intended to significantly enhance the capabilities of security forces in their fight against criminal activities.
