KWANKWASO Under PRESSURE, Confesses What He Told President Tinubu Ahead Of Supreme Court Judgement On Kano Gov’ship Polls
Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’ s Party (NNPP) in the last general elections, has vehemently denied reaching any agreement with President Bola Tinubu or any other party regarding the Supreme Court verdict on the Kano State governorship election.
This follows allegations that Kwankwaso had a pre- existing agreement with Tinubu concerning the outcome of the Supreme Court ruling.
The Supreme Court, on Friday, affirmed the victory of the NNPP’ s Abba Kabir Yusuf as the duly elected governor of Kano after a series of litigations. The verdict marked the conclusion of a prolonged legal battle over the Kano State governorship election.
Responding to the accusations of reaching an agreement, Kwankwaso, in an interview with BBC Hausa, asserted, ” What happened at the Supreme Court is a lesson for all of us. I know that I mean well for everyone.
Throughout the period, I have not done anything to anyone. And anybody would reap what he sows. To the best of my knowledge, I have not reached an agreement with anybody. ”
Kwankwaso’ s denial reflects his commitment to transparency and integrity in the political process. The allegations, if left unaddressed, could cast a shadow on the credibility of the Supreme Court’ s decision and the democratic process in Kano State.
