The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has asserted that he and his camp have fulfilled all the conditions outlined in the Rivers State crisis pact agreed upon with President Bola Tinubu. This development comes in the aftermath of a peace pact signed by Wike, his successor Siminalayi Fubara, and Tinubu to restore peace in Rivers State.
During a visit to the Oba of Ogbaland in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State, His Royal Highness Eze Nnam Obi III, Wike shared insights into the situation, stating that all conditions set by Tinubu have been met. He emphasized his commitment to peace in the state and assured the king that he would not disappoint him.
Wike expressed, ” We accepted whatever decision Mr. President has taken, and we have on our own part fulfilled every condition given by Mr. President because I told you I will not let you down. ”
Highlighting the significance of the peace initiative, Wike acknowledged the Oba’ s request to President Tinubu to intervene, emphasizing the importance of peace in the state for the overall tranquility of Nigeria. He urged the king and his council to continue praying for President Tinubu, expressing confidence in his leadership and wisdom in steering the nation’ s affairs.
