BLOODY SUNDAY! Blood, Dead Bodies Scattered On Hghway As Tragic Crash Claims Several Lives
A tragic auto crash that transpired along the Lagos- Badagry Expressway, Lagos claims the lives of nothing less than three passengers, one Okada rider, and two others.
Upon the receipt of the report, some personnel of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) were deployed to the scene of the incident. On getting there, they quickly removed two dead victims trapped under an empty long Man- Diesel truck at the scene of the incident.
While reacting to the incident, Taofiq Adebayo who happens to be the Director of Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department of LASTMA verified the occurrence of the incident.
He added that the two corpses recovered by the operatives of the LASTMA were confirmed to be passengers on a motorcycle. The accident occurred when the motorcycle rider was driving through one- way.
He further revealed that the two passengers passed away on the spot while the rider who was rushed to the hospital around Satellites Town later gave up the ghost.
In his words, Taofiq said, ” We later discovered during an inquiry that the accident happened when the driver of the truck was driving at top speed and suddenly lost control after his tyre busted on the motion. It was in the process that he rammed into the motorcycle plying one- way by Barracks Bus- stop inward Iyana- Iba along Lagos- Badagry Expressway.
