FLUSH Out! ! Another Tinubu’s Minister Is Given 48hrs To Leave Office
The Coalition of Civil Society for Transparency and Accountability has issued a stern ultimatum to the Minister of Interior, Mr. Olabunmi Tunji- Ojo, giving him 48 hours to resign over his alleged involvement in a over N3 billion fraud within the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
Expressing deep concern over the minister’ s purported engagement in ” massive corruption, looting of resources, and operating a company against the Code of Conduct for Public Officers, ” the coalition, through its convener Comrade Kabir Matazu, called for immediate action to address the allegations.
The coalition’ s statement highlighted revelations regarding the minister’ s admitted shareholding in New Planet Project Limited, a company that received N438. 1 million for consultancy services from the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation. The company was among numerous consultants awarded contracts from the N3 billion earmarked for the National Social Register contract.
Olabunmi Tunji- Ojo acknowledged his continued ownership of shares in New Planet Project Limited, which was paid N279 million for verification purposes and an additional N159 million for the same purpose. The company’ s directors include the minister, his wife, Abimbola, and one Gbadamasi Gbadamasi Clement.
