New Year TRAGEDY! Teenager Dies After Agreeing To Terminate Pregnancy For Boyfriend; See How It Ended Her Life
Following a botched abortion known to be a life threatening procedure which was carried out in Tofa Local Government Area LGA of the state that resulted in the death of a pregnant teenage girl, 19 years of age and as a result of this tragedy, the police operatives of the Kano State Police Command have apprehended one Ukasha Muhammad, who identified himself to be the boyfriend of the deceased alongside the quack doctor who went ahead with the abortion despite not being qualified.

On Wednesday, 3rd January 2024, a press report issued to the general public via the Superintendent of Police, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa verified that the deceased, Amina Balarabe was given some injections and medication from the quack doctor, Chidera Ugwu with the intention of terminating the pregnancy on request of her boyfriend, Ukasha Muhammad. Sadly, the teenage girl was given some fatal injections by one of the suspect, Chidera Ugwu which led to her untimely death.
” On 20/12/2023 at about 1030hrs, report was received from one Nura Balarabe, ‘ m’ , of Tofa LGA Kano that one Ukasha Muhammed, aged 19 years, ‘ m’ , of Langel Village Tofa LGA Kano Impregnated his sister, Amina Balarabe, aged 19 years, ‘ f’ of Kwanar Mahuwa Tofa LGA Kano and the said Ukasha Muhammad conspired with one Chidera Ugwu, aged 24 years, ‘ m’ of Lanbum Banki Tofa LGA Kano and administered injections and drugs to the said Amina Balarabe with intent to cause miscarriage which resulted to her death” , the press report read.
” The Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Usaini Gumel, FIPMA, psc assures the public of the Command’ s commitment to conducting thorough investigations in the case” , he asserted.
In the meantime, SP Abdullahi Haruna assured that, the police will put forth great effort to gather credible evidence in order to guarantee the immediate and successful prosecution of the offenders, adding that not only do we want to hold those responsible for these crimes accountable, but we also want to discourage future offenders from considering committing similar crimes.
” The CP also appreciates the public’ s patience and trust in the Kano Police Command as we continue to investigate these horrific crimes. Together, we can bring justice to the victims and send a resounding message that criminal activities will not be tolerated in our great state” , he concluded.
