The residents of the Shiwang’ andu community in Zambia have been thrown into a state of shock after some angry mob killed a mentally ill man known as Mulenga Kelvin for taking the time lives of two boys aged five and six.
It was gathered that Kelvin was beaten to death by angry residents after he was found guilty of killing two boys. He was also accused of cutting the pènis of one of the victims.
Before the death of Kelvin, a murder convict, he had been terrorizing the Shiwang’ andu community. Luck ran out for him when he killed the two boys and he was captured.
While speaking with the newsmen, a police source known as Achiume Paul revealed that Kelvin was freed from prison where he served a term for killing his grandfather. Ever since he was released, he has carried out various criminal offenses such as inflicting wounds on people’ s animals. He was accused of cutting parts of a goat and eating it raw.
He further revealed that on the day of the incident, Kelvin picked up the two boys and took them to Lufile River not too far from Nkombia Primary School.

He added that some residents saw Kelvin with soaked trousers while the location of the boys was still unknown.
In his words, he said, ” Kelvin was seen with his trousers already soaked. His soaked trousers make them suspect him and they approached him to ask for the whereabouts of the two boys. Kelvin refused to answer them which prompted them to start beating him. When he could no longer withstand the beating, he confessed to the crime and took the crowd to Lufile River. ”
